This post by Kyle Matthew Williams, aka Keelayjams, throwing a pizza at the Metropolitan Museum is brilliant because it both connects him to other artists who have referenced New York’s favorite edible — like Martin Kippenberger and Catharine Ahearn [some of which you can see at Marlborough Broome Street's "Pizza Time!" show opening September 8] — while also foreshadowing the return of “Breaking Bad” (remember that time when Walter White threw a pizza on his roof?).

Artist Andrew Kuo posted this picture of, we don’t know. His pizza-related work will also be in the Marlborough Broome Street “Pizza Time!” show.

The Edward Hopper-inspired installation in the Flatiron building has been a hit on Instagram.

Performance artist Bec Stupak took a breather in a floating donut.

Artist Z Behl snapped one of her own creations: a bull conquistador.

Pizza is a favored subject for artist Michelle Devereux, who will also be in the Marlborough “Pizza Time!” show.

Artist and set-designer Z Behl snapped this picture of a kid sleeping with pigs.

Artist Bjarne Melgaard’s photo of fellow artist Meg Cranston’s painting of lips.

Filmmakers on Instagram are kind of cheating. Here’s Josh Safdie’s picture of some women snacking in cool kicks.

Rob Pruitt making a “hillbilly hot tub” outside of Long Island art bookstore Karma.

Keelayjams, has way more followers on Vine than he does on Instagram, but he’s pretty creative on Instagram too.
