If you land in Miami next month without weather-appropriate duds, don’t worry. NADA Miami Beach has teamed up with ubiquitous neo-Gap garment-maker American Apparel to create a line of limited-edition clothes that will feature artists’ designs and be on sale at the New Art Dealers Alliance fair. The art-augmented clothes will be released, one per day, throughout the run of the fair (December 5-8). They will feature designs by Anya Kielar, Andrew Kuo, Cary Leibowitz, and Scott Reeder.
The clothing items — each artist will customize a piece of American Apparel apparel of his or her choice — will be made available daily at American Apparel outlets throughout Miami, and in a special pop-up store, “NADA by American Apparel,” in the newly redesigned lobby of NADA Miami Beach’s longtime home the Deauville Beach Resort.
For those not (un)fortunate enough to be at the fairs, select stores in New York and Los Angeles will also carry the gear, and some of it will also be available for purchase online.
